Dear friends, I finally visited the hottest restaurant in Milan right now – Sogni. The place is stunningly beautiful: lofty vaulted ceilings, well-thought-out interior, exquisite tableware and settings. A large number of staff, a doorman at the entrance, cloakroom – everything we love!
The spacious area is divided into several interconnected rooms: a large aperitif zone with sofas at the entrance (my least favorite), an area with a bar counter, and several beautiful and cozy spaces for dinner.
The lighting in Sogni immediately catches your attention – it’s dark, like in a nightclub, keep that in mind. And of course, such lighting creates an intimate atmosphere, perfect, for example, for a date or a romantic dinner.
We went for drinks, so I’ll test the cuisine next time. The aperitif menu offers a wide selection of signature cocktails and finger-food appetizers, which are convenient to share. There are gluten-free options available. The service passed my inspection – the dishes were brought very quickly, and they even replaced the wine without any extra questions when we simply didn’t like it.
Is there a drawback, you might ask? Yes, there is! Sogni is very expensive. A glass of wine and drinks cost around 20 euros, and the appetizers also start from 20 euros. So here’s a tip: it’s better to get a wine from the wine list with prices starting from 50 euros for a bottle.
Is it worth going here? Definitely yes, if you are a visual thinker and love exploring new places. If you’re going for drinks (this option is available in the restaurant all evening and night until 2 am), make sure to reserve a table in the bar-counter area. And how to get there (booking is not easy!): don’t write an email, call instead. The best chances of getting through on the first try are around 6:00 pm when the place is already open, but guests haven’t arrived yet.
Well, I still have to explore Sogni for dinner and share my experience with you. If you’ve already been here, don’t be stingy, share your experience in the comments!
