Dear friends, today, I’ll share my morning experience at Gelsomina on via Fiamma. It’s a delightful cafe with a charming interior and ambiance, where it was incredibly cozy to sit on a rainy day and gaze out the window. The soundtrack of golden hits from the world of pop music perfectly complemented the mood.
Now, besides a wide selection of pastries, they serve full breakfasts from 9:00 a.m. until late in the evening. The menu includes yogurt with toppings, eggs, pancakes, porridge, and various types of toasts (made with delicious whole-grain bread). I personally appreciated that the salmon they serve is marinated and not just a smoked one from the supermarket. It’s not as magical as my dad makes it, but still very good.
The service at Gelsomina is friendly and unpretentious. They serve the food quickly, and the coffee is genuinely delicious. By the way, they also offer a wide variety of plant-based milk options. A huge toast with all possible toppings and a cup of coffee cost me 20 euros.
I suspect that during peak hours and on brunch weekends, things might not be as perfect, but for breakfast on a weekday, Gelsomina is definitely a must-do in Milan!
Oh, and one more thing. At Gelsomina on via Tenca, the kitchen operates until 3:00 p.m.
