Five Best Aperitivo Spots Around Duomo

Enjoy the most important Italian gastronomic ritual in five places with five different moods.

Dear friends, today I will share my list of places around Duomo where you can go for a drink or aperitivo. Probably you know some of them already but, believe me, it’s handy to have it!

Ravizza. What is a true Milanese aperitivo? It’s when you pay for a drink and get access to a buffet where you can take unlimited snacks. Ravizza is one of the best: no plastic plates, genuinely high-quality and diverse food. All this comes at a very pleasant price, and honestly, after such an aperitivo, you might not even need dinner. Plus, it has the lively atmosphere of a Milanese bar. Great for a group.

Sun Eleven. A secret rooftop bar that still not many know about. It’s located on the roof of a mediocre hotel a couple of minutes from Rinascente. Be prepared for a shabby elevator and average service at the entrance. The terrace itself has a cute but visibly inexpensive decor. However, the magical atmosphere of dolce far niente, stunning views of Milan’s rooftops and the Duomo spire make up for all the nuances. Come here to enjoy the sunset with a glass of wine. The staff is attentive, and the prices are around 12 euros per drink, which is simply great considering the location. It’s suitable for both romantic dates and groups.

Cracco cafe. Very expensive, aesthetic, and a must-visit spot in Milan. Here, you’ll find exquisiteв presentation, Ginori porcelain tableware, and beauty all around. It’s essential to sit outside to meditate, gazing from the oasis of luxury at the stream of travelers. It’s suitable for any weather, as the establishment is located under the roof of the Vittorio Emanuele gallery. For me, it’s one of my favorite places for a glass of champagne before heading to the Alla Scala theater. Attention, never come here on Friday evenings and weekends: too many tourists, and the service suffers (a lot!).

Il Verzerrat. A simple and charming open-air place that I’ve written about before. They serve large, perfectly-tasting cocktails, with unpretentious but very friendly service. Here, you observe the locals and realize that happiness in Italian life lies in simple things. And here’s a pleasant detail: an unbelievable price for a drink – only 8 euros! Perfect for a group.

The Bar ar at Ralph Lauren. I recommend coming here for a glass of champagne. As you probably know already, the best is to sit in the charming inner courtyard, the most enchanting in all of Milan 😉 Tranquility, beauty, and the atmosphere of true dolce vita. Expensive and beautiful. Suitable for a romantic setting.

Turned out to be 5 places, just right for each workday of the week, and why not!
