Dear friends, winter is the perfect season to take a break from Mediterranean cuisine and focus on meat dishes. So today I’m going to share with you a list of places where you can find the most famous Italian one – a Florentine steak!
Torre di Pisa. An institution with the traditional Tuscan cuisine and a pleasant audience. Typical Italian menu, and, of course, fiorentina. The advantage of the place is the location, it’s one of the few really good restaurants in the Brera neighborhood. Perfect for lunch or dinner, but for a date it’s better to look for a more romantic place.
La Vecchia Lira. Convenient location in the Moscova neighborhood, charming interior of a traditional Italian osteria and a rather big bill. The restaurant’s fiorentina is not typical: it is generally smaller in size and served similar to tagliata – already sliced into thin pieces (this is my favorite, by the way).
My advice: be sure to get so-called “sexy potatoes” for a side dish. And the wine list here is also excellent. I recommend coming here for dinner with a small group and maybe even for a date (but not for the first one), and choosing a table inside.
La Quarta Carbonaia. I recently posted my review. Overall the restaurant has really good meat, and don’t be afraid to try other dishes, everything here is delicious! Great for dinner in a small group.
La Terza Carbonaia. You can find my extensive review about here. The restaurant is a bit less sophisticated than la Quarta, but the fiorentina is also perfect here. If you want to feel more color of the place, come here for dinner in a large group and choose a table in the covered garden (although I prefer dining inside).
